Tesla and Toyota Agrees to Develop Electric RAV4

Palo Alto, California, U.S.A., and Tokyo, Japan (July 16, 2010) - TESLA MOTORS, INC. (Tesla) and TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION (TMC) today announced that the two companies have signed an agreement to initiate the development of an electric version of the RAV4 as announced in May of this year by Elon Musk and Akio Toyoda. With an aim to market the EV in the United States in 2012, prototypes will be made combining the Toyota RAV4 model with a Tesla electric powertrain. Tesla plans to produce and deliver a fleet of prototypes to Toyota for evaluation within this year. The first prototype has already been built and is now undergoing testing...

After precisely 4,607.811 kilometres - or 343 laps - Hans Herrmann and Richard Atwood were first across the finishing line in the legendary Porsche 917 KH from Porsche Salzburg, which bore the starting number 23. Acura MDX Tops Consumer Reports' Tests of Luxury Three-Row SUVs

YONKERS, N.Y., May 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The freshened Acura MDX posted an "Excellent" overall score topping Consumer Reports tests of four luxury SUVs for the June 2010 issue.
The Acura MDX earned an overall road-test scores of 85, outperforming the Land Rover LR4 which earned a "Very Good" 73, the new Lincoln MKT, which earned a "Very Good" 72, and the Audi Q7 which earned a "Very Good" 68.
